39 year old Michael Bosanko uses long exposures on his images, then spray paints light into the frame using coloured acetate on flashlights.

Bosanko  said he got the inspiration for creating light graffiti while on holiday in Greece about five years ago.

‘I was taking a picture of a very bright moon one evening in Greece when I noticed a swirling effect because the exposure had been left too long,’ he said.

Christoph Niemann of the New York Times misses the big city. The illustrator spends a lot of Berlin’s cold dark winter days playing with his boys in their room. He says inevitably his mind wanders back to The City So Nice, They Named It Twice. Hence his obsession with turning Lego bricks into everyday buildings, objects and moments of NY life.

Neimann’s work has won him awards from the American Institute of Graphic Arts, the Art Directors Club and American Illustration. According to The Times, he’s authored two children’s books, “The Pet Dragon,” which teaches Chinese characters to young readers, and “The Police Cloud.” After 11 years in New York, he moved to Berlin with his wife, Lisa, and their sons, Arthur, Gustav and Fritz.
