Most visitors to Union Station enter through the east entrance or from the adjoining walkway behind you here. You can take the stairs directly ahead to the platform waiting area or walk west and take the main pathway.

A cranky shop owner to your left came storming out of his currency exchange booth, demanding to know who gave me permission to take photographs here. I can't imagine why anyone would bother to put up a fuss about their storefront being photographed well after the fact. You run into all kinds doing this sort of thing...
