Outside the R.C. Harris Filtration Plant
The R.C. Harris Filtration Plant was considered by its critics in the early 1940's as too extravagant. It garnered the nickname "The Palace of Purification" for its marble floors and lavish attention to detail. From here you can see the plant itself with the East and West wing filter pools, a maintenance facility, and closer to the lake the pump station that pulls the water out of Lake Ontario and pushes it into the City of Toronto once it's clean.
