There’s no script, no director, and no cast. But movie producer Dan Lin and Warner Brothers have announced plans to bring video game turned action movie hero Lara Croft back to the silver screen. Wired Magazine reports Angelina Jolie walked away from the franchise after the 2003 sequel failed to live up to the $275M in ticket sales of the first. The geekmag offers various contenders for the role.

I agree Malin Akerman, but also propose Kate Beckinsale should be considered also
I had always heard that actress Rhona Mitra, who was in Boston Legal, was the model used for the initial video game artwork for Lara Croft. She would be my choice. Check her out at imdb.com.
