As the warm weather melted the wall of ice that had formed due to improperly installed eavestrophing, the water found its way into our basement. At least it appears I figured out the source of the leak. And after a trip to Home Depot to purchase a long handled ice pick and a small axe, and a few unexpected surprises, the Ice Palace is no more. Now we can go on vacation without too much worry. We even picked up one of those water alarms so the house sitter is alerted if I misjudged the power of mother nature.

And Dad: great shot from the beach. I feel like I took a pick-axe to this all weekend. Thanks for your help!
